Plan a workout

Create and schedule a workout for one or more athletes: title, date, athletes, estimated effort and structured content.

The Plan a workout page lets you design and schedule a session for one or more of your athletes. You open it from your calendar, and the workout then appears automatically in the calendar of every athlete it applies to.

1. Opening the page

Step

Action

1

From your calendar, click a day, then a workout. You can also open an existing session.

2

If you opened an existing session, click Edit workout, top right, to reach the builder.

2. The five sections of the page

The page brings together everything that defines the workout: its framing, the athletes it targets, the intensity goals and its structured content. Each section has its own article.

General information

Give the workout a title, choose the sport, a date and a time of day, then assign a colour and labels so you can find it easily.

Athletes concerned

Choose one or more athletes, and say whether this is an individual workout or a group workout.

Workout details

This is where you enter the overall indicators: duration, distance, pace, route profile, elevation gain and required equipment.

💡 Tip

If you use steps in the builder, the duration, the distance and therefore the average update themselves automatically. No need to fill them in by hand.

Effort estimate

Set a rate of perceived exertion (RPE) to get an estimate of the Foster load, along with an estimated Coggan load calculated from the values you entered — or from the RPE if you prefer.

Workout builder

This is the tool that carries the content of the workout: adding steps, organising them, and setting an intensity target (zone, metric or RPE) for each one.
