Plan a workout

Create and schedule a workout for one or more athletes: title, date, athletes, estimated effort and structured content.

The Plan a training page lets you design and schedule a workout for one or more of your athletes. You open it from your calendar, and the workout then appears automatically in the calendar of every athlete concerned.

1. Opening the page

Step

Action

1

From your calendar, click a day, then a training. You can also open an existing workout.

2

If you opened an existing workout, click Edit workout, at the top right, to reach the builder.

2. The five sections of the page

The page gathers everything that defines the workout: its frame, the athletes it targets, the intensity goals and its structured content. Each section has an article of its own.

General information

Give the workout a Title, choose the Sport, a Date and a moment of the day, then attach a Color and Tags to find it again easily.

Concerned athletes

Choose one or more athletes, and say whether this is an individual workout or a group workout.

Training details

This is where the overall figures go: duration, distance, pace, route profile, elevation gain and the equipment needed. The More info button, further down, opens a section for cadence, power and time by zone.

💡 Tip

If you use steps in the builder, the duration, the distance and therefore the average update on their own. No need to type them in by hand.

Effort estimate

Set a rate of perceived exertion (RPE) to get an estimated Foster load, along with an estimated Coggan load calculated from the values you entered, or from the RPE if you prefer.

Workout builder

This is the tool that carries the content of the workout: adding Steps, organising them, and setting an intensity target (zone, metric or RPE) for each one.

3. Repeating a workout and warning your athlete

Two switches at the bottom of the page finish the job: Recurrence repeats the workout for as long as you want, and Email notification sends it by email when it is created.
