Attach files and a route to a workout

Add documents to a workout, and attach a GPX route to it.

Written by Romain Malbreil

The Files section, at the bottom of the Plan a training page, attaches documents to the workout. Your athlete finds them on their card, in the same place as everything else.

1. Attaching a document

  1. Scroll down to the Files section.

  2. Next to Attach files, click Choose a file.

  3. Pick the document on your computer.

The file name replaces the No file chosen mention: that is your signal it has been taken into account. It is only really attached once the workout is saved.

The Files field, on the right, lists the documents already attached and lets you remove some.

💡 Tip

If you turn on the Email notification, the attachments go out with the email. Your athlete gets the document without having to open Nolio.

2. Attaching a route

The Track (.gpx) field accepts a route in GPX format. Click Choose a file and select it.

That is how you set a precise itinerary: a hill loop, a course recce, the route of a race.

3. Reusing a route

The Routes already imported field offers the routes you have already uploaded. Pick one from the list rather than uploading the same file for every workout.

📌 Good to know

The route and the attachments belong to this workout. If you apply the same workout to several athletes, they all receive it; if you place it again later from a template, check that the file followed.
