What types of events can you create?

Workouts, notes, competitions and cycles: the four event types in the Nolio calendar.

Written by Romain Malbreil

The Nolio calendar holds four types of events. Each serves a different purpose: planning, commenting, targeting or structuring over time.

Workouts

These are physical exercise sessions: running, swimming, cycling, and anything else you do. They are the most common event in the calendar.

A workout can be structured, meaning it is broken down into intervals with intensity targets. The workout then guides your athlete during the effort, and can be sent to their watch.

Notes

Comments or observations that you or your athlete can add to the calendar. They are used to add explanations to a workout, and accept attachments: video, PDF, image.

Competitions

The key events that structure the season. You can set a competition as a primary or secondary goal, which lets you prioritize an athlete's targets over the year.

Cycles

Defined periods that group several workouts and events around a goal: preparing for a competition, or working on a specific quality.

📌 Good to know

Workouts and notes are placed on a single day. Cycles, on the other hand, span a period: that is what lets you read the structure of a training block at a glance.
