How to read your lap details?

Show a lap's statistics or zoom in on it, to analyze how an athlete manages their effort lap by lap.

Written by Romain Malbreil

Analyzing a workout lap by lap is often what reveals how an athlete paces their effort: a start that's too fast, a fade at the end, uneven intervals. There are two ways to dig into a lap's details.

1. Show a lap's statistics

  1. Click the lap you're interested in from the list.

  2. It's highlighted on the chart below.

  3. Hover over the (i) icon to see its detailed data.

2. Zoom in on a lap

To fully isolate a lap, in the laps section at the bottom of the page:

  1. Find the row of the lap in question.

  2. Click the small arrow next to it.

  3. Choose Zoom in.

The chart then shows only that lap's data, and its details appear on the left side of the screen.

💡 Tip

The first method is for comparing laps with each other, the second for examining one lap in particular. On an interval workout, start by comparing to spot the one where the athlete drops off.
