Turn off automatic zone recalculation

Stop your zones from shifting every time a reference value synced from your watch changes.

Written by Romain Malbreil

Your zones can be defined by formulas, for example a percentage of your Max HR. When the reference value changes, the zones are recalculated automatically.

Why turn it off

This is useful as long as the reference value is stable. But some values sync automatically from Garmin, Coros or another brand: in particular resting HR, which varies from day to day.

As a result, your zones keep changing without you deciding it.

How to turn it off

  1. Go to Settings, then the Training zones tab.

  2. Click the button at the top of the column.

📌 Good to know

As long as the setting is unchecked, recalculation is manual. Your zones will no longer change on their own, even after a real test: remember to recalculate them yourself when that happens.
